Memphis, Tennessee

We are, of course, all familiar with that annoying habit that our American cousins have, of appending the name of the state to that of a city, as if it were actually part of the city's name. (They also do it to cities in other countries, except that they append the name of the country.)

This particular example is made even more familiar through the title of one of Chuck Berry's greatest hits. But even so, the name of the state should not be required as part of the answer, and the question sheet didn't make this clear. (All that would have been required would have been to enclose the name of the state in brackets.)
